1. The Principle of Zero-Knowledge

At TimerFlex, we operate on the principle of Zero-Knowledge architecture. Unlike traditional web applications that centralize user data on remote servers, TimerFlex is designed to function as a client-side utility.

When you use our tools, the "state" of your timer exists only within your browser's RAM and its LocalStorage API. We do not have "users" in the traditional sense—we have visitors who use our tools anonymously and leave no trace on our infrastructure.

2. Data Sovereignty

  • Local Processing: All calculations, alarms, and state management happen on your device.
  • No Accounts: We do not offer or require account creation, eliminating the risk of credential theft.
  • No Persistence: Clearing your browser cache or site data instantly and permanently deletes all TimerFlex settings.

3. Network Transparency

TimerFlex does not make background API calls to harvest telemetry or usage patterns. We use industry-standard CDNs (like Cloudflare or Google) to serve our static assets (CSS, JS), but we do not share your interaction data with these providers.

4. Browser Permissions & Hardware Access

To provide the best experience, we may request access to the following browser-controlled APIs:

Notifications

Used for the Alarm and Pomodoro tools to alert you when a cycle is complete. You can revoke this at any time in browser settings.

Audio

Used to play alert tones. We never record audio or access your microphone.

Wake Lock

Used to prevent your screen from sleeping while a timer is active, ensuring visual continuity.

5. Children's Privacy

TimerFlex is a general-purpose utility and is safe for all ages. Because we do not collect personal data, we are inherently compliant with regulations like COPPA and GDPR regarding the protection of minors. We do not track, target, or profile any visitors, regardless of age.

6. Changes & Contact

We reserve the right to update this policy to reflect changes in web technology or legal requirements. However, our core commitment to zero-data-collection is non-negotiable.
